TechnoServe is recruiting a Chief of Party/Team Leader for an upcoming regional cocoa development opportunity in Latin America. The anticipated project is expected to be four to five years in duration and focus on developing the cocoa sector for smallholder producers and increasing their competitiveness within country, regional and global markets. The Chief of Party/Team Leader will oversee all aspects of the program to be carried out with duties and responsibilities covering project leadership, operations and administration. The position is contingent on project award to TechnoServe.
Qualification Requirements include:

A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline and professional fluency in Spanish and English required;

At least 10 years of professional experience in agricultural and agribusiness development in emerging markets, preferably including cocoa and other tree crops experience in Latin America and/or the Caribbean;

At least 5 years of experience managing USAID, DFID and/or USDA agriculture development projects, USDA experience preferred.

Previous successful experience mentoring and building capacity of staff

Passionate about market-led approaches to helping the poor improve their livelihoods.

Strong focus on results and experience managing complex monitoring and evaluation programs;

Ability to travel among project countries up to 30% of the time.
