Summary
Reporting to the Director, Global Policy and Advocacy, the Manager, Global Education Policy is responsible for developing and driving RESULTS’ advocacy strategy and policy portfolio on global education across a set of core objectives including: mobilizing resourcing for learning outcomes in low- and middle- income countries; increasing political support for action in key donor markets; and building support for greater accountability for learning outcomes within donor and international organizations.
Responsibilities
Global Education Advocacy (60%)
-
Lead the development and implementation of RESULTS’ global education advocacy strategy.

Lead the development of policy analyses, resource tracking, accountability tools, advocacy messages, and materials related to global education.

Lead efforts to build political champions for action and accountability to address the global learning crisis.

Represent RESULTS in global education coalitions, working groups, and events

Provide supervision, management, and mentorship to at least one full time staff in support of RESULTS’ global education strategy.
Partnership Management (20%)

Coordinate international partner global education advocacy efforts.

Facilitate effective communication among global education advocacy partners.

Support the development and track the implementation of global education advocacy partner workplans.

Lead the development of timely, high-quality reports to donors.

Facilitate regular communication and coordination with institutional donors.
Supporting Grassroots advocacy impact and mobilization (10%)
-
Support with issue-based content the Grassroots Impact Team in mobilizing grassroots volunteers in their engagement with members of Congress.

Liaise with and provide issue content to the RESULTS Organizing and Advocacy Fellowship and collaborate with the program lead for the Fellowship to expand training on education issues and increase the effectiveness of advocacy and engagement by Fellows with policy makers.

Support the inclusion of education as a top policy priority in our efforts to develop and strengthen partnership engagement with ally organizations.
Campaigns Team Support and Collaboration (10%)

Ensure the effective integration of global education with RESULTS’ broader anti-poverty policy agenda and grassroots advocacy.

Provide materials, training, and support to RESULTS grassroots network issue-based content for training and educational activities for the RESULTS grassroots volunteer network on global education advocacy.
Qualifications

Three to five years of professional work experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of key global education policy issues, frameworks, and institutions.

Experience developing and executing multi-stakeholder advocacy strategies.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and within the global advocacy network.

Ability to work effectively across cultures, time zones, and work styles.
-
Strong written communication skills in English, including the ability to synthesize complicated policy issues and tailor communications to a wide variety of external audiences.
