Plan International USA is seeking a Cost & Pricing Director (CPD) to lead the Finance Department’s Cost and Pricing team. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the comprehensive development, analysis, and presentation of cost proposals. The CPD will oversee a Pricing Manager and work closely with other departments to ensure competitive cost proposals for U.S. Government Donors, US-based corporations, and foundations.
Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy (15%)

Develop and execute pricing strategies for various proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Lead the development of pricing models and tools to enhance proposal accuracy and competitiveness.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate pricing strategies into overall proposal development.
Budget Development and Analysis (60%)

Oversee the creation of complex budget proposals, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.

Analyze budget data and financial implications to inform strategic pricing decisions.

Review and approve budget narratives to provide a comprehensive cost proposal.
Stakeholder Collaboration (15%)

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including programmatic and technical teams, senior management, and finance staff.

Collaborate with external partners and donors to gather pricing data and insights.

Negotiate pricing terms and conditions with clients and donors.
Team Leadership (10%)

Manage and mentor the Pricing Manager, providing guidance on pricing best practices and proposal development.

Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team.
Qualifications:
Required
-
Master’s degree in finance, business, international studies or related field.

Minimum of seven years of relevant work experience in budgeting, pricing, and proposal development.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.

Experience with pricing and preparation of budgets for competitive solicitations, especially with U.S. Government donors.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred

Proficiency in a second language, such as French or Spanish.

International field experience or program management experience in relevant technical sectors.
