Job Description
Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is a global humanitarian agency providing relief and development assistance to individuals in 130 countries regardless of their ethnicity, political affiliation, gender, or religious association. ADRA seeks an experienced Chief of Party (COP) to lead and manage the anticipated USAID/ Nepal Adolescent Reproductive Health activity that will expand the demand, supply, and use of quality, adolescent-responsive reproductive health services and products through a systems strengthening approach. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Project Director and/or Chief of Party with experience working on family planning or reproductive health issues in Nepal or the region.
Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership, management, and strategic direction for the program

Determine annual priorities and oversee development of workplans that drive achievement of proposed results

Oversee administration, implementation, and fiscal management – including for any sub-agreements – to ensure alignment with budget allocations, internal policies, and USAID regulations

Ensure reports, workplans, communication materials, and other program deliverables are timely and of high quality

Serve as the lead liaison and program representative with USAID, ADRA Country Office, ADRA International, implementing partners, Ministry of Health & Population, and other key stakeholders

Manage and supervise a high-performing program leadership team in a positive, respectful work environment

Requirements

Masters or Doctoral level degree in public health, family planning, reproductive health, social behavior change and communications, social sciences, or a related field

Minimum 12 years of experience in large, community-level reproductive health projects, including experience in service delivery projects; of which at least 5 years as COP, Deputy COP, Project Director or similar high-level executive position managing large, diverse, interdisciplinary teams

Minimum five years of experience with organizational capacity development, health systems strengthening, decentralization, public sector governance, the private sector, or civil society organizations

Minimum five years of experience in program management and administration, financial management, award compliance, sub-award management, and tracking performance and costs via specific funding streams; ideally with USG funding

Strong understanding of issues affecting adolescents and youth in low- and middle-income countries, and technical knowledge of social and behavior change communications strategies and approaches

Excellent spoken and written English language skills

Ability to travel to program field locations
